Host

The Home Assistant host is the specific IP address or hostname where your Home Assistant instance is running.

Use SSL

If your Home Assistant instance is using SSL, enable this option.

Port

The port is a communication endpoint for your Home Assistant instance. By default, Home Assistant listens on port 8123. When configuring remote access or setting up a reverse proxy, the user need to ensure the appropriate port is exposed or forwarded in your router or firewall settings. When using SSL, the HTTPS protocol will also require a port (usually 443) to be opened for secure communication.
